The New Jersey Wing Emergency Service Academy will be conducting a summer GSAR (General Search and Rescue) Course. This course will run the week of July 26 to August 2.
The plan is to conduct the class room and field training exercises necessaries to fulfill the requirements identified in UDF thru GTM1 SQTRs.
At this time we are accepting staff and student notifications. If you are interested in attending, as a student or would like to participate as a staff member, send an email to Major Jose Avila at joanav1@verizon.net with the following info:
1. Complete name and CAP ID
2. Cadet or CAP Officer and rank
3. Student or staff
4. Age
5. Contact info - Home and cell phone if possible, and email
6. Current ES qualification (GENES, UDF, GTM, etc.)
7. Additional training (First-aid, ROA, etc)
Staff applicants: All positions are currently open. Please send your three prioritized choices (what would you like to do). Coordination meetings will be scheduled promptly to complete planning process.
Students. The school will be limited to the first 30 who apply.
